Biden extends national emergency over Ukraine

US President Joe Biden has extended the national emergency for Ukraine: “I am continuing for 1 year the national emergency declared in Executive Order 13660,” he said, 4 March, explaining that Russia’s war in Ukraine “constitutes an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States.”
