UFLPA coming soon
The US Custom and Boarder Protection (“CBP”) will start enforcing the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act on 21 June 2022. CBP notes that after that date, there will be a “rebuttable presumption that the importation of any goods, wares, articles, and merchandise mined, produced, or manufactured wholly or in part in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of the People’s Republic of China...are not entitled to entry to the United States.”
